| Summary | 0005960: Ardour miditrack doesn't transfer velocity information to Drumgizmo | ||||
| Description | Ardour miditrack doesn't transfer velocity informations contained in the midifile to Drumgizmo except on the very fist loading. | ||||
| Additional Information | Drumgizmo versions: 0.9.3 to 0.9.5 Ardour version: 3.5.380 (compiled, kxstudio version, ubuntu 14.04 version...) Weird thing, it worked once, on the very first loading of the plug, so I've tried with a fresh install of ardour and drumgizmo on another computer and obtain the same result: Velocity is transmitted only on the first loading and next times I will try to use it, velocity is blocked to its default value of 64. I have to say that midi vumeter is working accordingly with velocity values. I tend to incriminate Ardour because it work once and because drumgizmo works well with other daws. I could be wrong. | ||||

An animated screenshot in order to visualize the problem: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16041378/ardour_drumgizmo.gif It's a homemade (with Analogue drums's buckshot samples) 2 gigas, 24 layers per instrument Drumbank and it works perfectly anywhere else. |

The "Midi Meter" shows the velocity correctly in your video. It works with other Midi synths, here so this is most likely an issue with drumgizmo. |

Well, I tend to think this way, so I have reported the issue at Drumgizmo's too. But, I'm not sure for the track is in multiout (I mean more than 2) and that's my only multiout plug, so I do not have any comparison point. I'll give news as soon as the guys at drumgizmo's will tell me their point of view. |

I have seen this before, I was using Drumgizmo 0.9.4 that time. I then upgraded to 0.9.5 and had this again until I removed my whole DG midi-track and recreated it from scratch using the 2.0.1 DRSKit. Sind then, everything is just fine with velocity and DG. |

Solved with DG 0.9.10 |
