How would this be different from using the mute button on the master track? |

The solo button I mean is the one on top of the Auditionong button. When I said master solo and mute buttons I meant the button in the toolbar and not the buttons in the master track. A mute button such as the solo button in the toolbar is usefull to see if there are any mute buttons activated in any track/bus and to desactivate them all. It's the exact same thing as the solo button,but applied to the mute buttons. |

Sorry to butt in, but considering that during a recording/mixing session something is muted 98% of the time, I would find a flashing mute thing very annoying. Solo changes the behaviour of the entire mixing surface, whereas mute merely changes one channel. |

sorry, i am with nmains on this. its not a bug, for precisely the reasons mentioned in the bugnote. shout on #ardour if you feel strongly otherwise. |
