Summary0000567: Panner states saved but not restored
DescriptionIn the attached session file there are the tracks 'Banjo' and 'Orava 1' (squirrel 1.. don't ask). Banjo's panner is always 0.5 when the session is loaded, while the squirrel is panned correctly.

At the moment, tracks which have two outputs (=two panners) gets their panner states restored correctly. Tracks which have one output (=one panner) get their states restored at 0.5.

Something to help you with debugging:

If I load ardour, and open the session via the recent menu, the panners are not
correctly. If I load ardour from a console and give the session file as a parameter, the panners are restored ok.

Also, the 'editor mixer' button, is labeled with a smaller font when Ardour is ran with the session file as a parameter.

is this still an issue?

It is. I'm now using

Ardour/GTK 0.526.0 running with libardour 0.825.0

(If I remember correctly it's 0.9beta18.4)

I just tested, that loading from the "recent" or "open" menu, the panners go wrong. If I give the session file as a command line parameter, it works okay.

I see all of v2's problems too. Plus in a session opened via "Open" regions (track height=small) are coloured whereas opened via commandline argument regions are not coloured :}

I had the same problem. It seems to be fixed in 09beta21.

Panner states appear to be saved and restored correctly now.
