| Summary | 0005595: Ardour crashes when Fader plugin is double-clicked | ||||
| Description | When I was messing around with Ardour on OSX 10.8 to get a feel for the interface, I decided to double-click the fader plugin to see if it brought up a window of any kind (as it does for regular plugins). This immediately crashes Ardour and is 100% reproducible for me. I'm running the 3.1 beta version that's available for download through the main site. The about window says specifically, "built from revision 3.1-75-gcadfc2a". I have version 3.2 running on my Ubuntu 12.04 box and it doesn't have this issue. | ||||
| Additional Information | Core dump can be found here: http://pastebin.com/tDCE0kKJ I don't have the ability to compile or do any further debugging as I don't have access to a Mac where I would be given the ability to do so (the machine currently running the software is in use in a live recording setup). I am capable of compiling/debugging on Ubuntu if that's at all useful in this situation. I have a hackintosh setup at home, but I'm not confident in its stability, | ||||

Please try to reproduce with the OSX 3.3 beta and see if it is still a problem. The issues was likely fixed late in 3.1 and before 3.2. I cannot reproduce it (but there may be more to it). |

Looks like it's been fixed. I'm using v3.4 now and the problem isn't there anymore. It may have been fixed in v3.3, but I'm unable to test that with the equipment I have (the system running Ardour is in a production environment, so fiddling has to be kept to a minimum, unfortunately). |
