| Description | simplify the tools section (buttons: 'smart', 'object', 'range', 'zoom', 'draw gain', 'stretch/shrink', 'listen', 'draw/edit midi' and 'note level editing' ) rules: -only one and exactly one tool is highlighted at any time -if another tool is selected, the old selection is gone this behaviour could be described as 'radio-buttons' transition: -'smart' is not a submode of 'object' anymore but is an independent tool (selection-wise) -'draw/edit notes' is not a submode of 'note level editing' anymore but is an independent tool (selction-wise) -'note level editing' is not a toggle anymore but in the main 'radio' group -basically no more toggles at all these changes do not reduce functionality. the overall perception of what tool/mode is currently selected and the change of tools/modes gets more clear. non-meaningful combinations of 'smart' and other tools are gone. a bunch of special cases on changing from combination x to y does not need attention anymore it's all defined with the above two simple rules. | ||||
