| Summary | 0005567: Ardour 3.2-dbg hangs on exit. | ||||
| Description | OS: Ubuntu Studio 13.04 when I exit from the Ardour 3.2-dbg, the splash screen with Ardour logo and the text "Please wait while Ardour cleans up" comes on screen and it hangs after that. when I do the `top`, i could see that Ardour is running in the background with high CPU usage ! Is there any logs/something i can upload.. | ||||

Likely already fixed in rev b28706852 https://github.com/Ardour/ardour/commit/b28706852 unless this is a different issue.. Can you start ardour from the commandline.. - does it print "Gtk-CRITICAL.." messages when it hangs? If so, then the issue was fixed already.. if not a backtrace at the point when it hangs would be useful. see http://ardour.org/debugging_ardour |

Oops.. now it seems not happening.. yesterday it could be because my laptop ran almost on full-load ! i will keep on trying for it.. we shall assume that its fixed as you said... |

It is (was) a concurrency issue. It does not happen every time, depending on which is faster: ardour exiting vs updating the "shutdown complete" info on the splash screen. |
