The plugin manager window has a 'fav' and a 'hid' column of buttons. Fav will enter the plugin name in the New Plugin -> Favorites menu when pressed. However, if in the plugin manager a plugin is allocated the 'hid' status, it remains visible in the New Plugin -> By Creator and New Plugin -> By Category menus until either Ardour is restarted, or the 'Refresh' button in the Plugin Manager is clicked.
