Summary0000528: relative paths within session file
Description1. create a session and include the audio files within the session sounds file
2. open that session on a different computer

The path for the audio file won't be relative to the session sound folder. It's described as the full path; /mnt/raid5/studio/clients/jamin/multitrack/jam-test/sounds.

This means the jam-test.ardour file must be edited to point at sounds. Otherwise the session can't be run.

the session file was specifically designed to avoid this. only external files (files embedded into ardour) use absolute pathnames.

if this is not the case, please feel free to contradict me.

the file was moved into sounds/ and then embedded which explains the absolute path in the session file.

i was trying to save space by using embed rather than import which i assume creates a new file.

for sessions that are intended to be shared, i'll use import. not a problem!

this isn't a bug it was a user misunderstanding/error.
