| Summary | 0000519: transport stops at relocate but | ||||
| Description | The default behaviour for Ardour is to Stop transport upon a relocate to a marker. When I relocate to a marker while Play is engaged it's because I want to Play from that location. Default behaviour should be for the transport to honor state. If Play and relocate then continue Play from new location. An example of where the current behaviour becomes problematic is while using an expternal transport controler. Performing a relocate after Play has been issued from the controler causes Ardour to stop transport. Meanwhile the controler is left in Play mode. | ||||

The external transport controler example is wrong because I was testing with Play Mode = Immediate. Deferred Play mode; when Play is engaged and locate using ffwd/rwd is complete then play resumes. I imagine there's more to deferred mode and MCS than this example but the simple test works as expected. |
