| Summary | 0005159: GUI locks up briefly when displaying menus | ||||
| Description | Tested on OS-X 10.6.8 - if a session is replaying and you drop down any of the Ardour main menus (Session / Transport / Edit / Region etc) the whole GUI locks up whilst the menu is on screen (i.e. the playhead stops moving, the timecode clocks freeze and the mixer meters also freeze). I've marked this as minor but it's probably more important because it makes the whole product look very amateurish. As an aside, I've also had a couple of instances where the mixer scroll bars became inoperative. In fact, they appeared to be disabled (they weren't the right colour). I can't reproduce it reliably but I'll dig deeper if no-one's already reported it. | ||||

the menu behaviour you're describing is caused by the design of GTK on the Quartz backend, and cannot be fixed within Ardour. |
