| Summary | 0005070: new session dialog: please give the "Session name" field initial input focus | ||||
| Description | When the "New session" dialog opens, the input focus is on the "Create session folder in" selector. I think the "Session name" text input field would be more appropriate to have the initial input focus. | ||||

On a slightly related topic... just before we get to the New Session dialog, the previous dialog asks "What would you like to do?" and offers the options to create a new session or to open an existing session. Would it be possible for the last selection to get remembered (instead of always defaulting to 'Create a new session')? In Ardour2 those options were on separate tabs so it didn't seem so annoying but now that Ardour3 offers both options as a simple radio button choice, somehow it seems very irritating that it doesn't remember if (most of the time) you don't want to create a new session. |

This is a very very difficult problem. I have spent hours debugging why the new session name does not get (actually, it *loses*) focus, without any success. |
