| Summary | 0005027: Numerical entry of decimal fractions for fader values (half) broken in german environment | ||||
| Description | While entering decimal fractions in LADSPA plugin windows works as expected it is somewhat broken for the entry of fader values - actual channel faders as well as faders in send dialogs, maybe others as well (untested). In german a comma is used as decimal seperator. For faders the results are: - the comma from the main keyboard area works as expected - the comma from the num pad doesn't enter anything at all (works fine in plugin dialogs) - it is possible to enter a point (shouldn't be possible and is not in plugin dialogs), but then the value gets truncated to the numbers before the point This is tested in 3.0 (rev. 13053) and official packages of Ardour 2.8.13 and Mixbus 2.1.0 - so needs backporting. On a side note: In A3 the numbers for fader values don't get hilighted when selected, so it's not visible how they will be modified on entry. | ||||

should be fixed in rev 13480. decimal point is still allowed for use, fix for this coming up. |

ok 13481 fixes the comma issue, now just selection focus display. |

Finally got back to test this... The second point is still true: The comma from the num pad still doesn't work for entering fader values. A3 rev. 13618 |

what faders? I'm testing with LANG=de_DE.utf8 LC_NUMERIC=de_DE.utf8 and i'm not sure where the breakage is .... |

I mean the track faders in the mixer. Somehow nothing happens when I press the comma on the num pad. It works well in LADSPA plugin windows. |

Communicated on IRC and now fixed in A3 rev. 13626. Should this bug being kept open as a reminder for backporting? |

As A3 has been released I guess there's no real need for a backport anymore. |
