| Description | create midi track. Set mode to percussive. add notes. save and close project. stop ardour. Restart ardour, reload project. Play project - most obvious if you have percussion instruments with some sustain (cymbals) playing to the notes. Note off is sent, which truncates longer percussive sounds. if you right-click the track for the context menu and hover over "midi note mode" (may only require just open menu..) then the track starts to behave as expected (sending note on only) | ||||

I can't reproduce this here. Can you attach a session file (the .ardour file) that gives you the problem when you re-load it? |

attached project folder demonstrating issue. This happens on both of my machines with Beta-3. Additional notes: just opening the track context menu "fixes" the problem, no need to select or hover anything in the menu. Noted that after the issue is "fixed", note-off is sent for all notes in the sequence at the end of the region (in other words, rather than not sending note-off, it is delayed to the end of the region.) Not sure what the expected behaviour is, but it is incosistent in any case. |

my restart-reload process is start ardour and in the startup wizard chose to open existing project. |

Should hopefully be fixed in SVN 12068. |
