Summary0004687: Generator plugin signal in route eaten by any subsequent plugin
DescriptionThere seems to be a route bug which causes signals from a generator plugin to be eaten further down the route, as soon as another plugin is added.
Steps To Reproducecreate a mono track. add the CMT pink noise plugin, or the invada test tone generator.
observe the post-fader meter: the signal is there.
now insert any other plugin after the generator, either pre- or postfader.
the signal will disappear. only when you bypass the second plugin in ardour, the signal at the route output comes back.
Additional Informationthe next plugin down the line doesn't get any data in its input buffer. some plugins (like the other invadas) have their own bypass, which just copies input to output. it doesn't restore the signal, so a bug in the signal processing of the next plugin can be ruled out.
i tried my own testing plugin, and it did not receive any data in the input.
