| Description | After recording a MIDI track, I wanted to go and have a look in the MIDI list editor. Doing so freezes Ardour completely. The only solution is to kill the process. | ||||

I'm afraid we have no chance of fixing this unless you can provide a backtrace; instructions are at http://ardour.org/debugging_ardour You will need to run Ardour inside GDB and then press Ctrl-Z when the freeze happens, then get the backtrace by typing thread apply all bt into GDB. |

Hello, I don't know what change you've brought between Beta 2 and Beta 3 but I cannot manage to have the application freeze/crash with Beta 3 anymore - which is good news. However, the list editor window in Beta 3 does not systematically display from the selected MIDI track called from the "right-click" contextual menu. If I managed to have it display for a given MIDI track, it then does not display for other MIDI tracks. The List editor window will only appear for the first MIDI track for which I have chosen to display the MIDI list editor. Sometimes, it does not display at all (but does not crash Ardour). Shall I insert another bug item in Mantis? |
