Summary0004505: MIDI notes snaps some milliseconds before the actual beat/bar
DescriptionWhen drawing MIDI notes with snapping activated, the notes snaps some tiny bit *before* the actual beat/bar position. It is only visible on the largest zoom levels. I can try to re-position the notes, and it will show me a new correct calculated snapping of the note but when releasing the mouse button it only goes back to the same position.

This happens to all my notes. It's quite irritating because this makes the first notes in a midi region not showing up when they actually are starting before the region start.

Uhm... now I see this isn't a snapping issue. Even with the "No Grid" option, the notes will get displaced this tiny distance to the left when creating/repositioning/trimming.

This may be fixed in current svn, where I corrected some rounding errors when converting Bar|Beat|tick time to a frame position.

Now it's working when editing notes, but when I draw new ones the problem persists.

As of SVN 10957, the bug is back even for drawing notes and the rounding errors seems to be even more off than before.

I'm pretty sure the bug with drawing notes is due to a horrendous rounding error of my making in the GUI (which will be fixed); what operations do you see the problem with now, exactly?

The drawing note snap should be fixed in SVN 10972. If you still have problems, please tell us what operations show them up.
