| Description | inserts in a track are not properly latency-compensated. the default latency (one jack period) is displayed correctly. however, when "measure latency" is clicked, ardour3 reports "no signal detected". this happens both with a tetraproc instance and an insert whose sends are wired directly to its returns. | ||||

do you see inserts actually working? when i started testing this a couple of months ago, i could not even get them to actually work. |

yes, of course. the signal goes through just fine, and the return works as well. has worked without problems since october last year, at least. only the latency measurement fails. can't say if it never worked or got broken sometime en route. as soon as i had noticed, i reported the bug. |

I'm using SVN version 11234 and I notice that the "Measure latency" feature of the Insert panel seems to work, but requires 2 clicks to determine latency. The first click just results in a message "No signal detected". The 2nd click gives the latency (which is always the nominal (1-way) jack latency, which I suppose makes sense since I'm just testing with some LV2 plugins in an external plugin host (Calf Jack host). |
