| Description | I see no button icons on A3 beta 1. I didn't install it, just run the ardour3 file in the bin folder in the uncompressed tarball. It looks like it's looking on the wrong folder, this is the error I get on startup: [ERROR]: Could not find mixer.bindings in search path /home/sonicstudio/.config/ardour3:/home/sonicstudio/Scrivania/Ardour_x86-3.0beta1_10615-dbg/etc/icons:/home/sonicstudio/Scrivania/Ardour_x86-3.0beta1_10615-dbg/etc/pixmaps:/home/sonicstudio/Scrivania/Ardour_x86-3.0beta1_10615-dbg/share:/home/sonicstudio/Scrivania/Ardour_x86-3.0beta1_10615-dbg/etc:/home/sonicstudio/.config/ardour3:/usr/local/etc/ardour3 I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 32bit. | ||||

the mixer.bindings issue is separate and has been fixed in svn (i'll roll a new package once i figure out what is happening with the buttons). please attach the startup messages you get if you start ardour3 in a terminal window. |

I had this problem too. I fixed it by killing my ~/.config/ardour3 directory (and reconfiguring from scratch). After that the icons look fine (albeit a bit brown). there are at least two problems. one was the package did not contain the UI configuration file in the correct location, meaning that it did not get loaded ahead of any ~/.config/ardour3/ardour3_ui.conf that you already had, and so there were no colors for the buttons. this has been fixed in svn. but there is also a wierd "flat button" effect that i am seeing locally. still working on that. |

fixed in beta1, caused by the ardour3_ui_default.conf file not being properly included in the package. |
