| Summary | 0004444: Crash when idling A3 with some mouse activity | ||||
| Description | This happened while switching betweeen windows and moving the mouse over part of the A3 window which was visible in the background (the track header). Previously, I had just started a new session, added one Audio track and resized it using the mouse a couple of times. I'm sorry I don't know the exact moment when it crashed. The first time I switched over to an ardour 2.8.12 window and only then noticed that A3 was gone with "Segmentation fault" on the console. Second time I tried to do the same within gdb and just noticed how the mouse cursors didn't change anymore when hovering over the track header resize area. | ||||
| Additional Information | My OS is Debian testing (mainly), Linux multilus 3.1.0 0000001 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 1 21:43:03 CET 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux, gcc (Debian 4.6.1-15) 4.6.1 I will try to reproduce with a clean build of A3 as this was on a modified working copy with only incremental svn updates and thus partial ./waf builds. | ||||

Forgot to mention: the segmentation fault is probably due to the stack size limit being reached. See "man 3 setrlimits" concerning the RLIMIT_STACK handling. The backtrace is quite long and repeats itself. Hopefully you guys can read something out of it at the beginning / end. |
