| Summary | 0004423: log window is always displayed after loading a session even for ones without errors | ||||
| Description | Every time I load a session I always need to close the log window first to get it out of the way of the editor or mixer. I personally only ever want or need to see the log window if there are errors when loading a session but atm it shows you the log even if he session loaded cleanly. If some people prefer to always have the log window displayed then maybe this could be an option under misc prefs. | ||||

hmmm. i don't see the log window, unless there have been errors. what's in your log window? maybe it's one particular message you get which is wrongly flagged to be important enough to pop up the window? |

Ah hold on! I didn't realise I was getting a number of warnings because the text for warnings is in a pale shade (light green?) similar to the INFO message text colour and I expected to see warnings in a more ruddy colour for whatever reason. This may have revealed another small problem too as the warnings I get are: [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.synth4.so [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.highlifevst.so [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.highlife.so [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.TAL-NoiseMaker.so [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.AspectVST.so [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.Mr. Alias 2.so [WARNING]: Cannot get linuxVST information from /usr/lib/lxvst/.highlifevst_debug.so A number of those warnings are for lxvsts I no longer have installed but some are installed and my user has read/write access to /usr/lib/lxvst so why am I getting these warnings? |

I deleted all the above mentioned hidden files but 10376 simply re-creates them for all the plugins I do actually still have installed and continues to give the same warning so the subject of this bug report could do with being changed 'lxvst info warning' or something plus I think the warning text colour needs to be changed to something darker if not red. |

Should all be fixed in SVN 10379. |
