Ardour 3.0 will certainly not feature an integrated sampler and I wouldn't expect to see it in 3.x either. The only thing approaching a full featured, native LV2 Linux sampler right now is Linuxsampler although there is a much more limited and unfinished alternative in the shape of composite. If you don't mind using lxvsts then you can also try DiscoDSP's Highlife lxvst if you're not running 64bit. Alternately, you can use an external soft sampler like specimen or petri-foo in conjunction with a session manager like qjackctl to do the same thing in a less portable and more complex manner. |

As Danboid says, this sounds like a job for a plugin. Please re-open this bug if you can say why a sampler should be integrated into Ardour. |
