| Summary | 0004308: Unable to record audio on first startup | ||||
| Description | When Ardour 3.0 is used for the first time, it is unable to record audio. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start ardour with no ~/.config/ardour3 in place 2. Use defaults for all configuration questions 3. Create new session when requested (I used the default path: my home dir) 4. Create 4 audio tracks (i suspect any number will do) 5. Arm 2 of the audio tracks (i suspect any number will do) 6. Start recording 7. You will get a never ending feeed of dialogs: "The disk system on your computer was not able to keep up with Ardour. Specifically, it failed to read data from disk quickly enough to keep up with playback" The transport will keep on rolling regardless. The armed tracks will get a 5 second region, but nothing more. Recording will work if you now quit ardour and try again (with the configuratin in place). But if the configuration is again removed, the above steps will cause the issue to appear again. | ||||
