| Summary | 0004298: Inserting automation points for plugins in MIDI tracks causes the creation of new regions | ||||
| Description | When inserting automation points in MIDI tracks, given you have "finger" tool selected, every click creates a new region. See attached video. Steps to reproduce: - New session > new MIDI track - Add MIDI plugin (say, Calf Organ) - Open automation track for any plugin parameter - Select the "finger" tool - Click to create automation points > they get created, and as side effect, they create new regions starting at the point of creation (but taking grid into account: see bug 4297) OTOH: - Open automation track for any NON-plugin parameter - Click to create automation points > they get created, and if there is a region in place, no new region appears. A new region is created if there is none where you inserted the point. | ||||
