I just tried this on a 64-bit system and it doesn't crash, but it also doesn't do anything. "Spectral Analysis" opens the analysis window, and none of controls actually change anything. "Rhythm Ferret" is the same story: the window opens, and I can select different options, but pushing "analyze" or "apply" does nothing. |

There is no new package to test, as far as I can see. |

The problems are not fixed Tested with Ardour-3.0beta1a_10644-dbg pre-built binary: 'Spectral Analysis' and 'Rhythm Ferret -> Analyze' both crash Ardour with 'Illegal Instruction'. Same test machine - AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ |

Hint: Is the binary compiled with SSE2 instructions? AMD-32 processors do not support this instruction set. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2#Notable_IA-32_CPUs_not_supporting_SSE2 |

OK right, yes the binaries are compiled with SSE2 enabled. Hopefully beta2 will be available in a non-SSE2 build too. |

I have no plans to build Ardour3 for non-SSE2 enabled systems. That doesn't mean that it won't happen, but I don't plan to do so. |
