| Description | Sending a bus back to itself, to create a "hand made" delay effect, causes XRun flood. Ardour has to be killed. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. New session. 2. Create a bus. 3. Insert a delay plugin (optional). 4. Insert a send, and connect it back to the bus. Warning: this will also result in a loud sound, so be sure to turn down your speakers. | ||||
| Additional Information | The same technique works fine in Ardour 2.8.11. | ||||

I experienced this on my Kubuntu 11.04 box. It seems to work fine on my Debian stable box. |

Try the attached session. It contains a track and a bus. The track has a send to the bus, and the bus has the 'Simple Delay Line' plugin and a send to itself. When I run it the whole x-session seems to become unresponsive and I have to ctrl+alt+F1 into a terminal and kill ardour. The Messages window og qjackctl is flooded with 'JackAudioDriver::ProcessGraphAsyncMaster: Process error'. |
