| Description | Hi all, sorry for my english .. I known is very bad .. I hope you'll understand. I have 2 pc, one with Ubuntu studio and another with ubunto 10.04 I have 2 problems when I use ardour: First - if I try to record on a track with the punch in and out in order to rectifier a mistake . then I hear 2 registrations in the punch range ( the old and the new) Why?? Second - When I'm playing my guitar, I hear the sound, but if I press play on ardour the sound is missing; to hear again I'm forced to put in record my track. I hope you could help me. It may be quicker for you to connect to IRC and discuss these problems on there; see http://ardour.org/support Can you attach a session that shows your problems with punching? For your second problem, please describe what tracks you have and what they are connected to. |

problem 2 is not a problem. When you press play all tracks start to play back audio from the hard drive, therefore you will not hear the track input ..... unless you put the track into record. Then you will not hear the track playback. You can only hear one thing at a time. |

Thank you so much for the answers, so for the second problem it's normal don't hear my instrument when the tracks are playing. ... shit! For the first problem, I'll try to attach a session with punching. Krgds |

I think you would see the second problem with every other DAW in existence. If you want to hear your instrument when the tracks are playing, try adding another track to use as a monitor. |
