| Platform | Intel Core2 Duo | OS | Gentoo amd64 | OS Version | stable |
| Product Version | 3.0-alpha4 | ||||
| Target Version | 3.0-beta1 | ||||
| Summary | 0004026: session file name appeneded with ".ardour" when saving a session started with a session file specified on the command line | ||||
| Description | when starting Ardour 3.x revision 9462 with a command line argument of the session file to load, the first save of the session file results in a new session file being created of the same name as the one loaded with ".ardour" appended to it. subsequent saves will update this file and NOT the file loaded on the command line. this also affects the .bak and .history file names. NOTE: this does not occur with session files loaded from the Ardour open dialog (i.e. when Ardour is started with no session file specified on the command line). | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | this bug is always reproducible: 1a) start Ardour 3.x from a terminal supplying the session file name on the command line or 1b) double click a .ardour session file correctly associated with Ardour 3.x in Nautilus 2) toggle the Mute state of the master track 3) press Ctrl+S to save the session 4) look at the session directory and note the new <session file name>.ardour.ardour file created | ||||
| Additional Information | this bug makes launching Ardour 3.x via scripts, file managers (i.e. Nautilus) and session handlers obviously problematic. config: Install prefix: /usr Debuggable build: True Strict compiler flags: False Build documentation: False Build target: x86_64 Architecture flags: None Aubio: True FPU optimization: True Freedesktop files: True Freesound: True LV2 support: True LV2 UI embedding: False Rubberband: True Samplerate: True Soundtouch: True Translation: True Tranzport: False Universal binary: False VST support: False Wiimote support: False Windows key: Mod4><Super C compiler flags: ['-O0', '-g', '-fPIC', '-DPIC', '-fshow-column', '-DWAF_BUILD', '-rdynamic', '-DARCH_X86', '-msse', '-mfpmath=sse', '-DUSE_XMMINTRIN', '-DBUILD_SSE_OPTIMIZATIONS', '-Wall', '-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE', '-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64', '-DENABLE_NLS'] C++ compiler flags: ['-O0', '-g', '-fPIC', '-DPIC', '-fshow-column', '-DHAVE_FFTW3', '-DWAF_BUILD', '-rdynamic', '-DARCH_X86', '-msse', '-mfpmath=sse', '-DUSE_XMMINTRIN', '-DBUILD_SSE_OPTIMIZATIONS', '-Wall', '-Woverloaded-virtual', '-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE', '-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64', '-D__STDC_LIMIT_MACROS', '-D__STDC_FORMAT_MACROS', '-DENABLE_NLS'] Phone home: False JACK session support: True | ||||
