| Description | Menu options 'Transport'->'Play'->'Play', 'Play Selection' and 'Play Edit Range' appear confused. The 'Play' option only plays a selected region, it implies that it should just start playback regardless of selection. The 'Play Selection' option plays ranges defined by the range tool. The 'Play Edit Range' option also plays ranges defined by the range tool. They should perhaps be renamed. 'Play' = 'Play Selected Region'. 'Play Selection' = 'Play Range' and 'Play Edit Range' should perhaps be removed. Unless I have missed some subtlety of these options. | ||||

The "Play Edit Range" option is a little more complicated: If you're in range mode and there is a selected range, that gets played. Otherwise if the mouse is not in the canvas, it plays between any selected marker and the playhead. Otherwise the played range is selected using quite an array of other logic (in Editor::get_edit_op_range). |

The names of the other two options you mention have been improved in SVN. |
