Although the names of route groups seems editable in the editor list, any changes are lost when entered.

Allowing them to be reordered would also be nice.

How do you mean "changes are lost"? When I try it here, the route group name is updated fine, and saved with the session. Can you describe exactly what happens?

This list is reorderable in SVN 9250.

 Thanks for adding the reordering capability!

I just tested on a new project, I can add a group in the editor window and rename it without problem.

However, on an existing project, whenever I edit the group name in the editor window, the changes do not get updated. Strange thing is, the name gets updated in the mixer window.

Here is exactly what I do:

Open project, double click on route group in editor list to edit, type new name, press enter. The original name reappears no matter what I type. The group name in the mixer windows reflects the name change.

Hopefully some of that makes sense. I will see if I can reproduce the problem on a new project and let you know.

I can reproduce the problem in svn 9250

Create new project

From editor window

Add group "grp 1" in editor list
Add group "grp 2" in editor list

Try renaming "grp 1" to "grp 3" by double clicking and editing. The changes are not reflected in editor list (but they are in the mixer window). Removing "grp 2" will then display the updated "grp 3" group.

Reordering should now be preserved. Is the renaming bug still happening for you?

Renaming groups is no longer an issue and any reordering gets saved.
