Patch change does not get added to MIDI region.

At one point I saw this work by either using the pull-down menu Region->MIDI->Insert Patch Change or by switching the edit point to playhead. Neither are consistent.

 Also,

when adding a non-standard bank change value such as 11200 (87<<7|64) that value is not properly saved/restored. The value restored is 64 on session open.

we do know that adding a bank/patch change will NOT work correctly if the edit point is the mouse - it can't because the mouse is up in a menu. There needs to be some other way to initiate this edit operation when the mouse is used as the edit point, but we're not sure what it should be yet.

can you attached the MIDI file that contains the incorrect bank/patch change?

btw, those bank changes are not "non-standard", just cumbersome :)

Attached MIDI file where the original bank value was entered as 11200 and when the session was reopened it was 64.

The wrong restoration of the bank change should be fixed in 9359.

Marking this one as resolved; the issue of using menu options when the edit point is the mouse is wider and generally known about, I think.
