| Description | Tried alpha3 this morning Looks good but I'm not able to get it to send any MIDI note off Running /usr/bin/jackd -p1024 -dalsa -dhw:0 -r48000 -p512 -n2 -Xseq Added a new MIDI track, created a region with some notes in it and connected it to a synth I first tried phasex -- and after playback ran through the notes in the region, all continued to play on. Also tried it with yoshimi. Same thing JACK is jackdmp 1.9.6 | ||||

please use the MIDI trace window to track the data being sent (Windows -> MIDI Tracer). it extraordinarily unlikely that you cannot send just one type of MIDI message. |

-Xraw solved it, -Xseq was the culprit |

Did you trace the data that is sent when you use -Xseq ? |

Unfortunately not. And I don't have any MIDI equipment left |

its been fairly well established that the -Xseq backend to JACK is buggy and unreliable. i'm for marking this as resolved. there have been at least cases on IRC of people with similar problems that all went away when they used a2jmidid. |
