| Summary | 0003809: Dragging and dropping an insert crashes Ardour, and the crashed project can't be opened | ||||
| Description | I created a new Ardour 3 project, added some tracks, and added an insert to an external hardware processor on one of those tracks. Afterward, I added a new bus, and attempted to drag-and-drop that existing insert from the existing track in to the new bus. When I let go of the drag, Ardour crashed. Now, each time I try to re-open the session file while launching Ardour, it crashes again. The broken session is attached; I hadn't recorded any audio yet, so it's small. | ||||
| Additional Information | * OS is Ubuntu Maverick 10.10 AMD64 * JACK is a slightly old SVN checkout of jack1 (r4111) * Ardour is r8999 (built just a couple of hours ago) * Audio interface is a Saffire PRO40, running SVN FFADO drivers The messages I get from Ardour when I launch it, and then attempt to open my session, are below: Ardour3.0pre0 (built using ['8999'] and GCC version 4.4.5) Copyright (C) 1999-2011 Paul Davis Some portions Copyright (C) Steve Harris, Ari Johnson, Brett Viren, Joel Baker Ardour comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Hi, thanks for the report. Both the drag-n-drop and reload crashes should be fixed in SVN 9003. Please re-open this bug report if you are still having problems. Cheers! |
