Summary0003804: Problems with MIDI channel faders
DescriptionUsing the faders on a softsynth connected MIDI channel seems to operate in an irregular or limited manner under 8978 / AV Linux 4.2.

When using the calf monosynth LV2 plugin, you can never totally silence it using the A3 fader down as low as possible- its just quiet. Fading it all the way up does increase the volume but maybe not as much as you'd expect.

When using VSTi's you can totally silence a track by having the fader all the way down but its either on or off- having the fader a few pixels/ db away from the very bottom is just as loud as having it full up.

Whereabouts are the faders with respect to the plugin? Before or after?

You're right - its only a couple of months since I last tried this but I'd totally forgot you had to switch the fader/plugin order so that the fader is on the bottom- sorry. The behaviour described above is what happens when the fader is at the top of the mixer processor box, when its at the bottom the fader acts as I'd expect it to.

I've just tried with the fader on top using composite and that works as expected so it looks like the bug here is actually with monosynth and not A3 so resolve please.
