| Description | I have a few probs with the 'Add' function for VST presets. 1 - It seems to act as and could be better labelled as 'Save (preset) as' or with a suitable icon instead. 2 - After having made an 'Add' you'd expect the newly created preset to become the active one. This is not currently so. 3 - I can see a new entry get added to the end of the current preset list after using Add but selecting it doesn't recall my supposedly saved preset ie it seems save or restore of custom (VST) presets is broke. 4 - With new presets being added to the bottom of the existing list its often quite some way down to find it. If we don't have a separate list for personal presets then maybe it would make more sense to add new ones to the top instead and move existing ones down? State of play circa 8270 | ||||

1 & 2 should be improved in SVN. What plugin are you having problem (3) with? I will think about (4). |

Looks like 1, 2 and 3 are fixed in 8284 despite the names disappearing which I've filed a new bug for. As for 4, the two menu option could work well but smells too much like clutter but having to scroll down for 30+ sec or so to get to your own presets is a bind. The other option here might be to have a search (as I suggested elsewhere) then it wouldn't matter where they got inserted. Good to see presets are stored per-plugin now as that certainly helps with this prob. |

Prob 0000004 would be solved by implementing http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=3615 So we can resolve this now Thanks Carl! EDIT Erm, well 3615 partly solves it- kinda. Feel free to resolve this one anyway now as most of the issues have been addressed since. |
