Works for me. What VST plugin? |
is this still an issue? |
Sadly, yes. I don't see any changes with currently built revision 8285. I'll fetch some other VSTs to try, maybe it's a vendor issue. |

What plugin are you testing with? |

Just in case, some more details. I'm using WINE 1.2 on Ubuntu 10.04. When I expand the "Plugin analysis" section of a dialog, there's just a straight white line that marks zero. So no audio comes through plug-ins. I tried building 2.8.11 with VST support and I don't hear VSTs affecting the record either. So it looks like either vendor issue or WINE issue to me. |

I can't get any of those plugins to do anything under Ardour nor vsthost in wine, so I suspect it's some vendor / Wine issue as you say. |
OK, I installed Novation BassStation that came with my audio interface and it does work in Ardour, all presets are read correctly etc. Fancy that :)
Any ideas of VeSTige simply cannot handle VSTs built with some particular version of original VST SDK? I'll write to Focusrite, of course. |

I don't think it's a vestige thing, as they don't seem to work in vsthost either. It might be worth trying running the plugins under vsthost in real Windows if you can. If you write to Focusrite tell them that they could always release their plugins in LV2 format ;) |

As already discovered, the problem is that registration prompt doesn't pop up under WINE at all, which is why audio is bypassed and presets are not read. Please close the report :) |
