Have you changed anything about your system recently? What message does JACK give when it crashes? |
The only thing that has changed is the memory. I have more audio files saved to ardour but other than that, i havn't modified anything. The message that comes up in ardour says " JACK has either been shutdown or it disconnected Ardour becuase Ardour was not fast enough. Try to restart JACK, reconnect and save the session." After thaat comes up, it doesn't allow me to do anything to my audio files, not even save my progress. I have to close it down and start everything up again (start JACK then open Ardour and try to make up my previous progress). |

If that happens you should be able to restart JACK and then select "Reconnect" from Ardour's JACK menu and continue from where you were.
I'd guess that your problems are due to the fact that you are stressing Ardour more with the extra audio files. Are you using JACK in realtime mode? |

I'm not sure if im using JACK in realtime. I just open the program and start it. How would I go about using realtime mode? |

I went into the settings and the realtime box is checked, if that's what your refering to. |
