| Description | Zooming all the way in works fine until the last step. The very last step doesn't actually change the zoom at all, the view just moves to the left. Then if you zoom out the view jumps back to the right _and_ zooms out one level. If you then zoom in again one step actually zooms in and then the next one does the left movement again. The very last zoom in step is obviously and extra and unnecessary one. | ||||

Yes, and it seems to have got worse. Zooming in to very magnified levels is now taking even longer for each step than it ever has done. What I am also seeing happen now is that even when maximum zoom has been reached it is still possible to click the zoom button and zooming is recalculated, even though the end result is no change in the view, This re-calculation is taking about 5-7 seconds each time and the whole GUI freezes whilst it is happening. I have also now killed two of my sessions trying to test this bug as zooming in got slower and slower and then Ardour was killed. After that the sessions are unload-able and get killed on load at the point at which the regions would normally become visible. As a start the zoom button (and any zoom keys) should become greyed out/inactive when maximum zoom is reached. |

Something isn't scaling very well. This feels very related to the number of regions/x-fades there are in the session. |

The last step strangeness and unnecessary recomputation at high zoom should be fixed in SVN 12796. |

The odd left step issue appears fixed. The other issues remain. |
