| Summary | 0003395: cannot create new MIDI track after removing one connected to softsynth | ||||
| Description | Create a MIDI track, use MIDI connection manager to connect the track to a softsynth (maybe a hardware synth would work too?), remove the track and then try creating a new MIDI track. Under 7614 you get this error in the log window when trying to do so: [ERROR]: Can not feed IO AUDIO=0:MIDI=0 with diskstream AUDIO=0:MIDI=1 Can not feed IO AUDIO=0:MIDI=0 with diskstream AUDIO=0:MIDI=1 JACK: cannot deliver port registration request [ERROR]: No more JACK ports are available. You will need to stop Ardour and restart JACK with ports if you need this many tracks. [ERROR]: could not create a new midi track | ||||

Just tried this again under 7650 but this time I disconnected both the MIDI and audio connections from the track to the softsynth before removing it but you still get the same error when you try adding a track afterwards. |

Still present under 7679. Far as I'm concerned, this is the last real showstopper MIDI bug before we have something that would make a convincing beta of the A3 MIDI editor-could someone please verify it? Hope its not tricky to fix. |
