please use xev or some similar tool to check what modifier your NumLock key is bound to. what you describe suggests that NumLock is generating the same modifier as the Ctrl key. not good. ardour can't do much about that. |

my mistake. this is different than the fix that was mentioned. |

the reporter never provided xmodmap information. without that, it is hard to infer precisely what the nature of the problem is. if numlock is somehow bound to the control modifier, then the problem is simple "user error" (or "distro error"). i have done several tests binding numlock to various different modifiers. with any reasonable setting, numlock does not interfere with ardour's keyboard bindings. |
