| Summary | 0003232: Too easy to delete 'master' track | ||||
| Description | Using Ardour for the first time, I immediately saw the 'master' track, thought it was just some example track placed there to show how Ardour works and removed it. It is stupid to remove 'master', but new users do not know that and the application does nothing to stop them. It's also an extremely difficult mistake to recover from, imagine new users wasting hours of time fiddling with JACK, trying to work out why there's no audio output. Suggested fix: don't allow users to remove 'master'; if some advanced users need it, 'Allow master removal' could be included under 'Options -> Misc Options'. | ||||
