| Description | I was unsure what exactly 'VST support' implied under A3 so I just tried it under 32bit lucid but as far as I can tell there is no VSTi support for MIDI tracks. It seems that compiling A3 (7233 here now) with VST support enabled doesn't create a special ardourvst binary so I just ran ardour3. I had a few VSTi dll files under /usr/lib/vst (Crystal.dll, daHornet.dll and P8.dll) which I also chmod +x'd just to be on the safe side but none of these seemed to be available in the plugin's men in my MIDI tracks mixer channel. I hoped to find them under 'New Plugin -> By Category -> VSTi instruments / VSTs / Instruments' or something like that. This would be a killer feature for A3 to have, if only for 32bit x86 users. Any chance of this in 3.0? | ||||

There is no VST support at all in ardour3 at this point in time. It requires some hacking on the build system to figure out how to use winegcc to build various required components. |
