| Description | Route Ardour playback of stereo mix to JAMin capture and return JAMin playback to Ardour capture. 1. Record arm the Ardour capture 2. Engage record 3. Enage Play Attempt to Stop Ardour transport fails. Stop must be hit twice. On the initial Stop, Record disengages but the playhead continues to roll. This causes the playhead to become misaligned. It appears that the capture region on subsequent Records continue from the last stop. You'll eventually have the playhead several measures out in front of the end of the region that's being captured. | ||||

i just tried this myself. as far as i can tell, its caused by some odd interaction at the JACK transport level. JAMin doesn't seem to be able to be a transport slave, for a start. Do you know what state things are in vis-a-vis JACK transport and JAMin? |

JAMin has no known problems with JACK transport. For a streaming client like JAMin, being a transport slave is trivial. It always passes through any input it receives, so all it needs to do is display the transport state in its status window. Is this causing a problem with ardour? |
