| Description | This a sensitive cultural issues which the devs might not be aware, but, for a portuguese from portugal having the menus in portuguese from Brazil is very irritating, even almost obfuscating. Many of the commands I have to think for a couple of seconds to understand what they are. In this case, it really is almost like a different language (due to very different vocabulary for computer related commands e.g. "trilha" vs "faixa" , many of the terms used in ardour at the moment, I have no idea what they are). There's also the issue of different spelling in portuguese (PT) and portuguese (Brazil), things like metrônomo (Br) vs metrónomo (Pt). Furthermore, the quality of the translation sometimes quite bad. Some words are not even correct portuguese (from Portugal or Brazil, things like "inspetador" ????). Portuguese from Brazil and from Portugal have different flags in OSX. So I would request that when you detect portuguese from portugal display the menus in english, since most portuguese computer users are familiar with english commands. At least until a portuguese (from portugal) translation is available. At the moment I don't see a way to change the language to english and that is extremely annoying. | ||||

Resolved. Just change the order of the languages in the osx language preferance pane to: Português (Portugal) English ... |
