Summary0000301: Clock in empty space....
DescriptionIt would be great if the time-code clock could be permanently placed in the empty space to the left of the timeline. Also perhaps a second line could be added to report the current mouse position in the project ?
Additional InformationBTW I'm really loving ardour ! I'm saving up to send you something Paul... I think I'm hooked.JACK is the greatest tool I've ever used for audio on a PC...EVER. I'm here for the long haul.

i'm puzzled by this request. you've already got 2 permanent clocks in the transport bar, the mode of which can both be switched to whatever you want (right click on each clock).

you can also display the "Big Clock", which is, alas, not as big as it once was (use Windows->Big Clock).

and then there is the clock that displays the edit cursor position, which is where most (and perhaps soon all) edits occur.

what would you do with another clock?

thanks for the feedback.

Ok, I have run ARDOUR in 1152x864 now and I see that there isn't any room for this feature, nor any need. In 1024x768 there seemed to be enough room for such a thing. The other thing is, believe it or not, I hadn't really paid attention to all the readouts on the play bar and edit select areas ! Yeah, I concede this idea is quite redundant and I withdraw it completely !
