| Summary | 0002797: Ardour 3 cleasn install misses default ui config file. | ||||
| Description | When making a clean install of Ardour 3 svn r5424 (./waf install to a non existing folder, and no user .ardour3 folder either), a file is missing, making all colors of the canvas reset to black. On startup the following is printet in the console: ardour: [ERROR]: Ardour: could not find configuration file (ardour.rc), canvas will look broken. Manually copying the file ~/.ardour2/ardour2_ui.conf to ~/.ardour3/ardour3_ui.conf partially solves the problem. I have not been able to figure out exactly which file is missing from the build dir, nor have I found out where it should located in the installed dir. | ||||

Update: I now have both found the file, and its location. The file $SVN/gtk2_ardour/ardour3_ui_default.conf should be installed in $PREFIX/etc/ardour3 I do not know enough about the waf build system to actually supply a patch, but I believe the fix is close to trivial. |
