| Description | As the title says: Ardour does not build in Ubuntu 9.04 (at least for me :) Configuring is fine but waf fails to build with the following error: [264/502] cxx: libs/ardour/session_midi.cc -> build/default/libs/ardoursession_midi_1.o [265/502] cxx: libs/ardour/session_process.cc -> build/default/libs/ardoursession_process_1.o [266/502] cxx: libs/ardour/session_state.cc -> build/default/libs/ardoursession_state_1.o ../libs/ardour/session_state.cc: In member function ‘XMLNode& ARDOUR::Session::state(bool)’: ../libs/ardour/session_state.cc:3255:1: internal compiler error: in estimate_num_insns_1, at tree-inline.c:2494 Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. Just tried again and it builds now! Have installed a few packages over the day but afaik they had nothing to do with ardour. The exception was rubberband although I'm unsure if that was the solution to the previous build error. Anyway it works now! Feel free to close this report :) |

|
note that internal compiler errors almost always indicate memory problems (faulty memory hardware). its not 100% true, but you should really get a memory testing CD and check your memory. |
