| Description | Using quick fader movements on the Mackie Master Control Universal Pro usb control surface causes Ardour to crash when the following circumstances are true: *There are enough tracks for the mcu pro to represent two banks. *Auto Return is on. *The mixer window is open and maximized on a second display. *The transport is in motion. | ||||
| Additional Information | It is not necessary for there to be any audio in the project for the crash to occur. Also, the ardour.rc file is changed back to default (mcu requires editing to use raw alsa port). Using 64Studio 2.1 modified like this: http://64studio.com/ardour_2.5, Ardour 2.7.1 and jackd 109.2 on AMD64x2, 2gb RAM, recording to external firewire drive. | ||||

Well, I got it to crash without having the mixer window on a second display -- so disregard that. Everything else still applies. |

Ok, I feel silly. I popped another 4GB of RAM in and this problem totally went away! |

see notes. almost certainly a victim of the "not enough locked memory" situation that was "fixed" with a startup warning post-2.5. |
