| Description | I've actually tried several different sessions and they all crash the same exact way. I originally ran Ardour without Jack running but it behaves exactly the same way regardless of Jack. I did notice however that after the first run I no longer see the Audio Options tab. | ||||

Same Sessions seem to open ok in Intel version. I'll do some more testing including reinstall and first run with Jack running (as opposed to what I did originally which was to run Ardour2 without Jack and then select coreaudio - I know, I know). |

Ok... reinstalled including removing ~/.ardour2, started jack running, opened ardour2 - opened session - identical crash. |

Attempted to initiate new session. Same Crash - not anything to do with the sessions. Any thoughts? |

Can you attach the output of Ardour to the console (Applications>Utilities>Console.app), clear the console first obviously? Also attach a crash log if there is one(It will say on the console and give the location). Thanks. Seablade |

Awaiting feedback from the OP, please respond as otherwise in about a week or two I will be assuming the issue is resolved and marking it as such. I am willing to bet that the problem lies in the fontcache used by GTK which can be forced to be rebuilt by removing the .fontconfig directory in your home directory, but I need to see the output on the console to confirm this. Well a couple of things, some related and some not directly related... Directly related, what version of Jack are you running? If it is not the latest version, download the latest version of JackOSX and try it. Not related, you do realise you have several plugins installed that are compiled for Intel and not PPC right? They won't work so well like that. Also not really related, you can attach txt files of the appropriate outputs to the bug itself so that you don't need to copy and paste. For things like crash logs this is usually a better bet, and also for console outputs as those can get a bit long in the tooth;) Seablade |

This is caused by using the wrong version of JACK. The required version is stated as clearly as possible on http://ardour.org/first_time_osx_native |
