| Summary | 0002247: To add a 'enable but monitor only, not record' function to Ardour tracks. | ||||
| Description | In Ardour midi, one can record both midi and audio by enabling record for both tracks. however, if one wants to use the midi track to drive data to an eventual audio recording, then this isn't possible at the moment. My suggestion is a new component in tracks, that of: :Enable for monitoring only, do not record." This function would enable the track, but wouldn't record, even if the global record button is enabled. This means the user can record audio, using the relevent midi track as a port/midi device, and not have to record, then remove default recorded material. | ||||
