| Description | So when I have an effect plugin loaded on an audio track and stop audio (just hit the spacebar or stop button) a clipping noise sounds and peaks the meters. Sometimes it's more subtle and in only one channel (l or r), other times it's extremely loud and peaks both channels very high (like 114.7 above 0db, for instance). Only happens when a plugin or plugins are loaded. The clip is very brief. I'm running the Ardour 2.4.1 update on a MacBook Pro, Intel, Tiger OS X 10.4.11 | ||||

Is this still an issue for the OP with a new version of Ardour(2.7 or newer?) I am unable to reproduce here on 2.7 running on OS X 10.4. If this is an issue still, please post up to confirm, but also post up any specific plugins you are able to reproduce this with. Thank you. Seablade |

Yes, it's still happening on 2.7.1, but I'm currently running OS X 10.5.6 (Leopard) as opposed to 10.4. There may be an issue there. I haven't gone through all my plugins to see all the ones it happens on, but I'm able to get it with Dreampoint Freeverb, Blue Cat Audio Gain, Audio Damage FuzzPlus2, and Smartelectronix Ambience. It happens with some other plugins slightly, but only a light popping that doesn't peak off the meters. Most of the problems seem to be with the AU's, not the LADSPA. In fact, the LADSPA Freeverb has no such problem. |
